Voice Chat the Professional Way

Google Talk is a chat program that I think is nice to have, I can now communicate with my customers, well that’s if they have the program, so far I have convinced some to access the service, explaining to them how convenient it can be to talk to me while I’m at home or on the go without the phone to my ear. I don’t think it’s a necessity for the office, but it is a great communication skill between co-workers for quick questions. Now the idea of having the option to download the program to your computer can be a decision of your own, I did download it to mines and I do not have to have my Web browser running at the same time. I had the option to get the stand-alone version or the web based version. The standalone version is 1.5 megabytes. I’m sure that I will find it useful for my hair business one day; if not maybe I will be able to use it for future business endeavors. I have provided a link below so that you can see the featues and widgets you can have added to your phone.

Twitter and Facebook for Business (Coming Soon...for me)

My next goal is to sign up for Twitter, I'm sure you are saying that I am late, I know I am, but hopefully if you visit my blog later I will have a sucesssful experience to tell. Below I have included a video marketing these social networks...see you soon.

Voicemails for Business

With Google Voice in charge of your missed calls, callers are directed to your Google Voice in-box instead of to the voice mail box that your carrier operates. There, friends can leave a message after hearing the greeting you recorded online. You, for your part, can listen to messages online or from your phone, in any order you'd like. I tried the voice mail service and wanted to see how my message would be transcribed this is what I got:

Yes this is cam. I was calling to check to see if Chase Helen, in China. With the available to come and participate in calls to clean up, on Saturday but the girl scout troop number 894 excuse me. I'm sorry 8294. Thanks.

Linked Together "The Social World"

Choosing to subscribe to a voice account, I think is going to be a positive step toward organizing my appointments. I am a full-time employee on a “traditional job”, but I’m also a hairstylist part-time, well let’s say 1/3 of the time. A lot of my customers call just to see when they can set an appointment to have their hair done. I decided to get a special number just for my customers to call and leave a voice mail stating the date and time that they would like to schedule their appointment. I am trying this on a trial basis; I hope this service become one of my favorites. I have also provided a link above for the convenience of my existing customers (they know who they are). From the above link they will be able to read about the service on Facebook and make an appointment. I am anxious to familiarize myself and my business with this new feature. I am confident that this will be a success.

Video Voice Conferencing

Video conferencing is a strategic enabler and can be a great communication tool for a business. Companies, government agencies and high-tech companies located around the world, regularly use video conferencing to organize meetings, conduct training, hold strategic discussions and share critical information. Video conferencing helps companies save in costs. However, the disadvantage of video conferencing is the lack of a personal touch; technology issues, security and cost are all potential drawbacks that need to be considered.
As a business person I would like to get to know whom I may be dealing with in person. The handshake before the meeting, eye contact, and even watching how people hold themselves during the meeting are important factors. I also know that some people may not be comfortable with talking in front of a camera over a computer, I am one of these people, but as the world gets more technical, there is always room for change. I know that it will help me, for example a customer trying to explain the thickness of their hair or explain a color they want to try in their hair I could always schedule a conference with them over the computer. Who knows, maybe I will start to like this.

Business Preparation

Using Google’s Talk and Voice to conduct business can be very useful, with the company upgrading and updating new innovative programs on a daily basis. As much success and praise the company has received in the past and presently, I’m sure they will come out with something that is worth everyone’s time. To conduct business deals in different locations and countries can be a very useful thing; this can eliminate the cost of traveling and the need for a secretary who would be there to take notes, because with the Talk service, this will be documented. The Voice service can be useful services for a company if they are temporarily out of the office and need to forward a call to a particular place to ensure that no calls go missed and all calls will be documented. I guess it’s all in how you handle the service, I’m sure it is great for personal use as well. I don’t think I will go far as closing a deal or anything. But as for communicating, it is great. I just thought about if you were in the business to purchase a piece of property on the beach, of course you would love to see it first, by using the Talk feature the Realtor and the client can set up an account and show property and hold face to face conversations for clarity. So instead of meeting up with one another several times within a week, some of that time can be cut down. I t really depends on the company and the product or service that’s trying to be promoted.

Communicating while Networking

Google Talk is an instant communications service. It uses innovative technology to help people communicate effectively and efficiently. This service offers different ways to integrate real time communications into online experience. For instance if you wanted to do a promotion about a product on Facebook, perhaps you could set up a link to answer questions face to face about the particular product, but the down side of the deal is, the person questioning the promotion would actually need to be a member of the communications service in order to communicate back and forth. This could also be a very useful tool on Facebook between two business persons trying to conduct business and they wanted to talk about a particular product face to face. Within Facebook you are able to upload pictures and receive comments. If you observe these comments from consumers you may come to an agreement that could become inexpensive. Using Google’s Talk service along with Facebook to conduct business interviews and conversations can be a very useful tool as long as everyone is using the same program.

Business Voice Management

Google voice is not a phone service but it lets you manage all of your phones. I guess if you have multiple phones and tasks that you are trying to juggle in a day, this would be a great option for you. The service allows you to make and receive calls in Gmail, this can be good thing. Eventually this tool will be useful to publish business blogs on bloggers, share project images, track industry news, and advertise within one application. Not to mention, the idea of keeping up with one user name and password; a big problem I’ve always had was trying to remember my log in information. The voice service can become a great addition to any business depending on individual use. Until all kinks are worked out, I feel this voice service would be useful for a business as a temporary service, especially if you had a large clientele that depending on you. As for a Doctor’s office, I would recommend the use of this service for lunch hour only unless it was an emergency call, of course I would redirect those calls to an emergency number.

Organized Voices

This is a really nice web-based platform for handling and managing business related calls, especially from a home based business. I think that getting a voicemail sent to your email is really nice. I think I would rather read a message than listen to them anyway. Also, it eliminates you from having to give out your personal phone number. This application allows users to send free text messages and receive a transcript of your voice mail, is a really cool application to have. I think this will be a good tool to have because not only will you have a track record of conversations, you will be able to differentiate between business call and personal calls. If you work from home and you need a phone service for your business, I feel this would be great, because you could forward your personal calls to your voicemail and attend to these calls at a later time without being disturbed from your business related work. I feel this is also an inexpensive way to have the communication with organization.
